After completion of  academic study from Sir J. J. School of Art in 2006, Shardul searched for his own identity. He represented his new works in Artist's Centre Show in Aug. 2007 and Jehangir Art Gallery in March 2008

After successful exhibitions in 2008 shardul continued the process of visual exploration through various ideas.

In 2015 Shardul visited Chiang Mai for the one month Artist in residency program at Ne'-Na' Contemporary Art Space (Monfai Art and cultural Centre) Thailand. During this period, Shardul visited Angkor Wat, at Siem reap Combodia. He experienced the new culture, people and rituals as well as the social and political life of these oriental countries. This led to new phase of his creative journey.
